The Opportunity:

Our client is a Western Australian business that operates across Civils, Water Infrastructure & WWTP Construction across Western Australia.

We are seeking a Senior Civil Estimator who is looking for a Perth based opportunity with occasional site travel as and when required.

The Senior Estimator will help deliver project wins across the water and infrastructure space. At any one time you be overseeing 8-10 tenders and month ranging in value from $1m to $7m in value, that’s around $120m to $140m a year.

You must be either and Australia Citizen, or Permanent Resident of Australia to be considered for this position, we are not offering sponsorship!

The Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, QS or equivalent with experience on civil infrastructure projects from $1m – $7m
  • Analyse and prepare tender estimates, budget estimates and other cost related proposals in a timely manner working closely with client leaders, key stakeholders, and internal senior management
  • Relevant on-site industry experience in the civil construction industry with a strong understanding of trades and disciplines, specifically within water treatment plants. WWTP or Water Corp pipe works and pumping station upgrades
  • Coordinating procurement of all materials relevant to the project in line with set budgets and requests
  • Prepare “first principles” estimates from scratch, build-ups, cost models, and rate calculations
  • Develop and review tenders and proposals for quality, risk, accuracy, and completeness, responding quickly to correct problems
  • Assist key stakeholders on tender preparation and submissions
  • Manage 1 other estimator, and work with Pes, SPEs and PM’s to deliver tenders and win new business
  • A pro-active, can-do attitude and the ability to hit the ground running is essential for this role
