The Opportunity:
Our client is an international Maritime and Defense Technology company with facilities across the globe.
They deliver technology solutions across all marine sectors including Merchant, Offshore, Subsea, Navel and Defense.
We are seeking a Graduate Service & Systems Engineer to work for our clients’ global customers within the maritime and defense industries.
This role involves providing remote guidance and product support to our customers, as well as being part of a knowledge pool that offers back-end support to our field service team.
Training will be provided and this can take up to a year to fully understand the requirements. Extensive travel worldwide will also be a major part of this role, up 50% of the year will be travel.
You must be an Australia Citizen or Permanent Resident to be considered for this position given the nature of the work, unfortunately we are not offering sponsorship for this role.
The Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Instrumentation or Mechatronic Engineering
- Happy to consider fresh graduates with 1-2 years of experience in their field
- The ideal candidate will have experience with navigation, propulsion control systems and remote vessel operations
- Focus on customer support, commissioning, and service for the assigned Offshore Automation product range, covering service activities in the Oceania region and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients
- Maintenance, repair and troubleshooting to KC-700 and KC-One Automation Control systems onboard vessels in port and at sea
- Generate service reports, update drawings, maintain the information database, and mange other relevant documentation
- Assist the sales department with technical issues and handle pre- and post-work administrative tasks and undertake ad-hoc duties as assigned
- Ability to communicate effectively across multi-disciplinary teams and with clients both face to face and remotely
- Must be happy to travel at least 50% of the year, this will be a combination of National & International travel
- Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident for this position as there is Navel Defense work involved
What’s on Offer
- Base Salary $90k – $110k + Super (13.5%) + OT+ Travel (OTE up to $145k per annum)
- Hybrid working between home, customer sites and the Fremantle offices
- Only 35hrs per week, anything else is classed and paid as OT
- A paid RDO day per month to be taken when you like (12 extra days off), this is over and above your standard Annual Leave & Personal Leave entitlements
