Contract Manager

The Opportunity:

Our client is an Australian owned and operated business within civil construction and complex concreate works across Australia.

We are seeking a highly skilled Contracts Manager with experience across large scale civil concrete construction projects in mining & resources and the renewable energy industries.

The position:

The Contracts Manager will oversee a large-scale concrete and civil construction project in NSW worth over a Billion Australian Dollars. You will have experience with underground and above ground construction projects from large concrete works, civils & earthworks and infrastructure for Tier 1 Mining, Energy or Resources clients.

The Requirements:

• Tertiary qualifications in either Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or Contract Law.
• Contract Management for Tier 1 Mining companies highly desirable, across Civils, Concrete, and Infrastructure
• Drive resolution of claims and variations in line with project goals and the employer’s strategic priorities
• Ensure all claims and variations meet legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements, reducing risk to the project and contractor
• Have experience working cross-functionally with Project Controls, Engineering, Health, Safety and Environment, Sustainability, Quality, and Construction teams to achieve project objectives
• Take control when the PM is not on site, step in as their 2IC
• A pro-active, can-do attitude and the ability to hit the ground running is essential for this role
• Be able to communicate at senior levels, budget, plan and keep senior management across project issues, delays or other liabilities
• Able to adapt to changing project conditions and demonstrate resilience under pressure, especially in fast-paced or high-risk environments
