Senior Human Resources Business Partner – FIFO | 5:2 / 4:3 Roster | Ex Perth or Geraldton
The Opportunity
JAG-X Recruitment is partnering with a well-established organisation within the resources sector to source an experienced HR Advisor for a FIFO opportunity on a 5:2 / 4:3 roster.
This is a hands-on site-based role supporting operational leaders and employees across a busy workforce. Working closely with site leadership and the HSE team, you will play a key role in delivering practical HR support, managing employee relations matters, and contributing to a positive workplace culture.
This position is suited to a confident and self-sufficient HR professional who can work autonomously, build strong stakeholder relationships and provide sound HR advice across a range of people-related matters.
The Position
As the HR Advisor, you will be responsible for supporting site operations across a broad range of human resources activities, including:
- Providing generalist HR advice and support to leaders and employees
- Managing employee relations and industrial relations matters
- Assisting with performance management processes, including performance improvement plans (PIPs)
- Supporting return-to-work and workers’ compensation cases
- Conducting workplace investigations and managing employee issues as required
- Assisting with remuneration and benefits activities including salary reviews, benchmarking and reward programs
- Supporting workforce planning and organisational initiatives
- Building strong relationships with operational leaders and key stakeholders
- Ensuring HR policies, procedures and employment legislation are adhered to across site operations
- Participating in site pre-starts and maintaining a visible presence across the workforce
The Requirements
- Certificate IV, Diploma or tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline
- Previous experience in a HR Advisor, HR Generalist or similar role
- Strong Employee Relations (ER) and Industrial Relations (IR) experience
- Experience managing performance management processes and workplace investigations
- Exposure to return-to-work and workers’ compensation management
- Ability to work autonomously and confidently engage with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive and resilient approach with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Resources, construction, infrastructure or industrial workforce experience is advantageous but not essential
