My client is a leader in the mobile crushing, screening and conveyor hire across Western Australia and South Australia. They manufacture, service and hire mobile crushing equipment to the mining, recycle and quarry industries.

The Role:

We are recruiting a Technical Sales Manager WA & SA, to be based out our clients Henderson workshop. The role will be work across WA & SA mining and quarries sectors selling new and rental crushing and screening equipment. You will be required to travel on a regular basis for a few days at a time across the Pilbara, Gold Fields, Southwest and Kimberly regions of WA.

This opportunity will suit anyone who is highly motivated and has a strong sense of teamwork and collaboration. You will be able to manage client expectations as well as collaborating with the internal manufacturing and production teams to deliver machines to site in a timely manner.

Training will be provided on their equipment; however, this role will require a basic mechanical/technical knowledge so you can communicate across technical aspects of the products. Ideally you come from a sales background in mining or heavy rental industries, and have solid connections and networks across WA.

About You

  • Previous experience within New Business Sales or Heavy Rentals of large mining equipment such as, Crushers, Screening and Drill Rigs
  • Excellent knowledge of the WA & SA market, specifically in the fields of mining or Quarries, having a strong understanding of where your products will sell and what the client will need to solve their issues
  • First class customer service with proven abilities to get deals across the line with minimal supervision
  • Positive can-do attitude, self-starter who can manage their own workload, book meetings, present the benefits of the products to get the sales across the line
  • Happy to travel across WA and at times SA, this role will be between 60% to 70% field based and the rest of the time working from home or at the office in Henderson

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Achieving monthly budget and targets.
  • Managing the inhouse CRM to track leads and sales activity. Plenty of established leads within the CRM
  • Bringing new clients and managing/growing existing clients already in the portfolio
  • Quoting, follow up and securing of orders not only for new equipment but replacement parts as well
  • Keeping up to date with technical changes, new products coming to market and gain a sound understanding of the industry
