My client operates in the aftermarket parts and engineering industry across Australia and internationally, supplying their products across the mining & resources sectors and material handling facilities.
About the role:
We are looking for Mechanical Designer with relevant experience in material handling products such as crushers, screens, feeders and conveyors. You will manage multiple projects, from design to completion to match client specifications, drawings and modifications.
This is a Full Time Permanent Position, so only applications with Full Work Rights in Australia will be considered
About you, as a minimum:
- A Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent design qualification is preferred
- Experience working on material handling products & parts such as hydraulic or automation systems, Feeders, Hoppers, Chutes, Isolation Gates, and Structural Frames or within heavy industry are essential for this position
- Carry out design work, apply first principles and codes to return compliant designs
- Using Autodesk Inventor for modelling and Vault for data management, revision control, and design documentation
- Experience of using software structured engineering systems such as BOMs, revision control, and drawing registers, be able to identify and troubleshoot technical issues using root cause analysis
- Take ownership of assigned feeder design packages, ensuring alignment with project schedules and deliverables
- Happy to travel if required across Australia and at times internationally, although this is not a frequent occurrence
- Ensure safe work practices are always adopted, communicating any issues to site management
