About the company:

Our client operates in the Heavy Mobile Plant Equipment space within the mining industry; they service and maintain Low Level Loaders and HV Trailers from their workshops based in Welshpool.

About the role:

We are looking for Stores & Forklift Operators for a 2-month casual contract starting early September through to the end of October.

You will be responsible for packing up the client’s current workshop in Welshpool, palletizing stock, emptying shelving and getting large machine parts ready for transportation to the new workshop.

You will then be required to unpack the stock at the new premises in Welshpool. Set up the racking and make sure the stock and parts are put away in the correct location.

You must have experience and valid tickets for operating forklift trucks and a WA Manual C Class Driving Licence.

About you, as a minimum:

  • Ideally you will have worked in a stores/warehouse environment before, and be comfortable operating the forklift trucks and using CRM databases such as SAP or Pronto
  • Be self-motivated and have proven problem solving skills, not afraid to get stuck in regardless of the tasks required, solid all-rounder
  • Be able to work as part of a team and follow instructions, but also take the initiative when required
  • Packing up the current workshop ready for the move to the new workshop both in the Welshpool area of Perth
  • Valid Australian Manual Driver’s Licence is essential as you may be required to drive the company Utes between sites and these are all manual
  • Proof of right to work in Australia, WHV are welcome to apply if you meet the other requirements
  • Adhere to the site’s HSEC policies and procedures
  • Strong safety focus and a desire to enhance the site safety environment and culture

What are we offering:

  • $35ph – $38ph + penalties + super
  • Monday to Friday with occasional OT and Saturday morning work
  • 2 months work, 38hrs per week minimum, free parking at both sites
