About the company:
My client operates in the Heavy Vehicle maintenance space, stripping down, maintenance and then rebuilds of Low-Level Loaders & Trailers from their Welshpool workshop.

About the role:

We are looking for a Mechanically minded TA’s starting on a temporary basis you will have the chance to convert to permanent if suitable after a probation period.

You will be responsible for assisting the HD Fitters, using general hand and power tools to service and maintain the equipment.

This position requires proven experience within mechanical trades, good knowledge of wheels, bearings, axels and hydraulic maintenance highly regarded.

This would ideally suit someone with an agricultural background working on farming machines, general hand maintenance experience on mobile equipment or a LV Mechanic looking to work on heavier gear.

About you, as a minimum:

  • Have broad general experience of vehicle maintenance and have mechanical aptitude
  • Have exposure to heavy mobile equipment maintenance, wheel changes, axels, bearings basic body works and hydraulics
  • Be self-motivated and have proven problem solving skills, not afraid to get stuck in regardless of the tasks required, solid all-rounder
  • Be able to work as part of a team and follow instructions, but also take the initiative when required
  • Experience using hand and power tools essential for this role with a basic understanding of vehicle mechanics
  • Valid Australian driver’s licence manual essential
  • Proof of right to work in Australia, unfortunately this is a temp to perm position so no WHV, candidates must have full working rights in Australia PR or Citizen
  • Adhere to the site’s HSEC policies and procedures
  • Strong safety focus and a desire to enhance the site safety environment and culture
