Our client manufactures and machines complex mechanical components for the Crushing & Screening Industry across WA.
About the role:
We are looking for Manual Machinist Fitter to work at their new facility in Henderson. This is a casual position working day shifts for the next 4-6 weeks. However, there may be an opportunity for this position to convert to permanent based on your performance.
Their machine shop features manual machines including lathes, turret mills, universal mills, and saws. You must be competent operating manual machines, power and hand tools.
About you:
- Must be a trade qualified machinist with Full Working Rights in Australia
- Experience using all forms of machining equipment including but not limited to manual lathes, and milling machines along with other workshop equipment
- Operate manual machines to manufacture high-quality parts and components for crushing and screening equipment.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Work closely with the engineering and assembly teams to meet production schedules.
- Carry out routine maintenance and ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the workshop.
- Current Forklift license is desirable but not essential
What on offer:
- $50ph to $55ph + Super
- Monday to Friday 6am to 2.30pm (Morning Shift)
- Temporary with 4 to 6 weeks work with an opportunity to convert to permanent for the right person
