As Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will develop and continuously improve maintenance strategies for our client’s Mobile Equipment Fleet, ensuring the work strategies are effective and meeting legislative and statutory requirements.
This role is a DIDO role based in the South-West where you will be able to work a 9-day fortnight.
Job description:
- Head up the development and implementation of equipment maintenance strategies for the Mobile Equipment Fleet
- Manage a team of mechanical specialists whilst developing best practices and ensuring that the team’s capability in Mobile Equipment maintenance is increased
- Drive continuous improvements in quality control with a strong focus on maintaining and improving performance.
- Oversee compliance for Safety Critical Equipment, with timely inspections and repairs via SAP, with a focus on optimising Mobile Equipment reliability and performance.
Skills and experience:
- A Mechanical Engineering degree (or equivalent)
- Mobile Equipment Maintenance & Reliability experience in the mining industry is essential
- Proven expertise in developing and implementing Mobile Equipment maintenance strategies
- Experience in mobile equipment engineering design and change management in a brownfield mining environment.
- Manage engineering budgets and schedules.
